Are there any short story writing contest that my friend and I could enter?

It has to be a short story contest and the way to submit it.

1. Out of all of the writing competitions out there I only know of two that are legit: WritersDigest.com and Glimmertrain.com. Both of these are reputable literary publications. WritersDigest.com has a competition with a deadline coming up on May 15. You have your choice of content. There is $15 entry fee. Here's the link: http://www.writersdigest.com/contests/annual/77th/

GlimmerTrain.com's writing contests are more limited in terms of what type of content they will accept. They only accept stories that fall under the "literary" genre. They also have a $15 entry fee. Here's the link: http://www.glimmertrain.com/shorawfornew2.html

I have searched the internet inside and out looking for good writing competitions and so far these are the only two that I would be comfortable sending my money and my work to. Beware of contests with entry fees because most of them are down-right shady or they are just not very professional or reputable. Be sure to do your research on any other competitions you may learn about. Some companies will cancel their competitions AND keep your entry fee - so beware.
